Super Bowl Recap

February 6, 2005 – 11:09 pm

I must admit that I am mildly proud of my Super Bowl prediction. I predicted the Patriots would win 24-20, and they ended up winning 24-21. Not bad, eh? The game went pretty much as I would have expected, but I was surprised at how sloppy it seemed at times. At points it looked as though Donovan McNabb was determined to throw an interception regardless how many penalty flags bailed him out. Anyway, it was an entertaining game, and I hope my prediction prowess continues into the future.

On a side note, I went to a rather nice liquor store before the game and bought myself a pint of Young’s Double Chocolate Stout, my favorite beer. I bought the single pint that came in the bottle. I must admit that Young’s Double Chocolate out of the bottle is not as nice as out of the can (specifically, out of the can and into a nice glass). It seems as though the beer is more carbonated in the bottle, and part of the beauty is its smoothness. Lesson learned.
