Linux Magazine Interviews Linus Torvalds

March 2, 2005 – 12:23 pm

Linus Torvalds is the man who originally created Linux and has been an integral part of the maintenance of the kernel (the core component of what is known as the “GNU/Linux” or just “Linux” operating system) since its inception (which was in 1992). If you read any Linux news sites, you will stumble across your fair share of interviews with Mr. Torvalds. He currently works at a place called the Open Source Development Lab. The most recent interview I read has some interesting stuff in it, ranging from influences from other operating systems on the Linux kernel, to where the kernel is going, what Linux activity is taking place outside the United States, and AMD’s and Intel’s new 64 bit processors. Worth the read if you have an interest.
