Beaten Down at Settlers of Catan

April 2, 2005 – 1:33 am

Adam, Paul, and I played two games of The Settlers of Catan late Friday night, and Paul won both in dominating fashion. With a combination of strategically placed settlements, cunning moves early in the game, and some quite favorable rolls of the dice, he marched to victory, trouncing Adam and I along the way. I was able to put up a respectable fight the first time around; Adam did so the second. Regardless, it was no match for Paul, who made easy work of the both of us.

Next time, though, we’re logging the results of each roll of the dice, because I’m convinced Paul was graced with some serious statistical anomalies that helped him out a great deal. Not that I’m bitter or anything.
