The Deep Throat Book Talk Begins
June 1, 2005 – 6:05 pmThis makes perfect sense, and the timing is just right. The CNN politics blog has a story about how Woodward’s and Bernstein’s All The President’s Men was listed at number 816 on Tuesday on Amazon’s best seller list but had climbed all the way to number 35 on Wednesday.
Reuters has released an article speculating about the book that is certain to soon come form Bob Woodward and the book that may or may not be penned by W. Mark Felt himself. At 91, and with reports of his memory for details waxing and waning, Mr. Felt might not be able to tell the story that most would like to hear, but from a publisher’s perspective, it makes all the sense in the world to jump on that. Mr. Woodward’s book I’m sure will be a fact-filled and interesting read.
And no, I’m not any less enthralled with this story today than I was yesterday. I’m glad I haven’t kept count of how many articles I’ve read online about this story. That might be depressing to know.

My only question is why would this respectable man chose a moniker like Deep Throat?
