Jury Duty on Wednesday

It turns out that I have to report for jury duty tomorrow morning at 7:45 AM. Los Angeles has a telephone system where one is supposed to make a call each evening after 5:00 PM to determine if he or she needs to report for jury duty the next day. I did not have to report on Monday or Tuesday, but on Wednesday my number was called. The following statement was recorded as part of the set of instructions:

The temperature in the courthouse is unpredictable; please dress accordingly.

Umm…okay. I’m not quite sure what that means. Regardless, I will have to be waking up at an hour that this poor body rarely sees. Here’s hoping my service is completed at the end of the day tomorrow.
