Happy Birthday To My Blog
February 3, 2006 – 11:38 pmMy blog is one year old today. And, yes, that means I have been working to further populate the web with nonsense for one whole year already.
My first post? An expectedly uninteresting post about my involvement with the LinuxQuestions.org Wiki.
In the first year, I have written 202 posts and collected 501 comments, which is slightly better than the pace of one post every two days that I informally aim for. And, don’t worry, because I intend to further populate the web with nonsense for at least another year. Let the tomfoolery continue!

My blog’s blogday is coming up on March 10. My blog will definitely be having a party and a cake. I’m only up to 94 posts, meaning you’ve definitely two for oned me for the whole first year. Of course, I don’t blog about crap like you do, so it’s harder for me.
Ellen recently pointed me to her livejournal (5 years old!) which she insists is not a blog. Her first post was titled “I should be working but instead I started a journal…”. If that is not quintessential blogginess, then I don’t know what is.

Another blogstalgiac thing to do would be to tell us what the most searched post was and if you had any that got linked from random places.

I wonder what percentage of blogs/”this-isn’t-a-blog-it’s-a-journal” type things have “I should be working but I started this instead…” as the first post.

Way to go! You’re about two thirds of the way to the stats I’ve made over the past two and a quarter years.
I want to see me get lapped over this coming year.
